The Background

Kate’s Cupboard is an e-commerce business selling cake decorating supplies across the UK. At the time of reaching out to work with Webhive Digital, Kate’s Cupboard wanted to drive more traffic to their website  to generate more sales from search engine users.

The Solution

Webhive Digital created an SEO strategy to work on content optimisation, as well as technical and off-page SEO.

For content optimisation, we prioritised all of the core products initially, which was estimated at 300-500 products. Once these were optimised, we monitored keyword rankings to see areas performing well and focussed our attention on supporting products and collection pages.

As part of this work, we extensively built out the collection pages on the Kate’s Cupboard website to group together related products, improving the user experience and navigation on the website, as well as creating topical authority across wide ranges within cake decorating supplies, such as cake toppers and cake boxes.

We also created a link-building campaign to boost the website’s authority for related keywords to product ranges, collections and individual products.
